Kimanta Moodley
Elementary School Counselor
Ms. Kim joined CMIS in 2021 and has since been working at CMIS for five years. She is a registered Educational Psychologist and has practiced both in her home country, South Africa and in Qatar before coming to Chiang Mai. She is student-centered and loves seeing the world through ES students eyes. If you need someone to talk to, her door is always open.
Richard Curtis
Middle School Counselor
Mr. Richard is a teacher, coach, mentor who has worked for over two decades as a MS and HS counselor at a variety of different international schools and both public and private schools in the United States. His primary focus is on promoting health and wellness amongst all the school’s constituents while paying particular attention to the students social and emotional well-being.
Robert Johnson
High School Counselor
Mr. Rob has been working at CMIS since 2015 and has been working in the role of school counselor for the last 3 years. He has his Masters of Education in School Counseling and enjoys the daily opportunities to support high school students in their overall wellbeing.
Mathew Cameron
College Counselor
Mr. Cameron is an English teacher and College Counselor at CMIS who supports students in making informed college decisions and navigating the application process. He first joined CMIS 18 years ago, spent a short three-year stint in Hong Kong, and then returned in 2012. With extensive experience in international education, he helps students identify best-fit universities and prepare strong, thoughtful applications. If you have questions about college options or next steps after high school, his door is always open.
Warisa Saengkham
Academic Coordinator
Ms. Nan joined CMIS in 2024 and works as the Academic Coordinator. She works closely with high school students to guide them through university exploration, applications and internship planning, helping them discover pathways that match their strengths and goals. If you need support with university applications, internships, or simply someone to talk to, her door is always opens.

In November 2025, we hosted our first Chiang Mai Counselors Meeting at CMIS, which was a great success and provided an opportunity to collaborate, share best practices, and build meaningful partnerships with counselors from other international schools.
